The day after the kids left was always depressing to Kitty, and she was glad to be able to come to work and not think about how quiet the house was today. Tomorrow she'd get over it, but today she could be blah.

The inside of Caritas was fine- thanks, sanctuary spell!- but there was plenty of mess to clean up outside and on the building, plus around the place because Kitty was helpful. (And so was Tino, if she promised to pay him overtime.)

Clint and Kitty had officially made it through their first year of marriage. Even if there hadn't been any doubt that they would, it was still an accomplishment, and it gave them an excuse to dress up and go somewhere nicer for dinner. Instead when she got to work, she found the bar covered in pies, all perfect-looking in their tins.

It wasn't often that Kitty needed to use the coffeemaker for drinks at the bar, but she had put some on just because she wanted some coffee, and now it wouldn't stop making coffee.

It kind of sucked to have to work at night on Valentine's Day, but Kitty was the boss blah blah with responsibilities blah. Also who knew, maybe there'd be customers who needed to be at a bar tonight.
